ETHICDRIVE / Understand the response before deciding.

Enter a registration number in the right order

Choose the format, select the Arabic letter, enter the digits, and paste a number: practical guidance for the EthicDrive form.

Choose the format before entering the number

The form offers “Vehicle” and “Trailer”. First choose the format that matches the registration you want to check. For a vehicle, EthicDrive displays three parts: the number, the letter or series, and then the code. Copy them from left to right, following the labels above the fields.

For a trailer, two fields remain visible: the number and then the code. The letter field is not used. These instructions describe the formats accepted by EthicDrive; they are not a complete list of all plate types. If your format does not match, use the official service directly.

Copy the digits and select the letter

The number field accepts one to five digits. The code field accepts one or two digits for a vehicle and one to three for a trailer. Keep any leading zeros in the number you enter. Do not guess an extra digit or shorten a number just to clear an error message.

The form lists the letters أ, ب, د, ھ, و, and ط, as well as numeric series from 1 to 99. Select what is actually written on the plate, without replacing an Arabic letter with a similar Latin letter. The appearance of ھ may vary with the font used on the screen.

Double-check the fields after pasting

If you have already copied the registration number, open the area provided for pasting it. The form recognises parts separated by spaces, hyphens, slashes, or vertical bars, among other supported formats. The examples show only the order of the parts; they are not plates to look up.

Arabic digits ١٢٣ and Persian digits ۱۲۳ are converted to 123. This makes entry easier from different keyboards; it does not confirm that you copied the correct number. After pasting, read every field again. If the text remains ambiguous, enter the parts separately rather than making repeated attempts.

Let the automatic check begin

The check starts automatically after a short pause once the registration number is complete. You do not need to click a button. Prepare the details before filling in the last field: the registration number is sent to NARSA to check for oppositions.

Changing the registration number hides the previous result to avoid confusing it with a new check. Wait for the message that corresponds to your current input. If an error identifies a field to correct, compare it with your reference. An accepted format confirms only the structure of the input, not the existence of the vehicle.
